Some of the most popular beaches on Koh Samui includes Chaweng beach – the island’s centre hotspot for shopping and night time entertainment with various choices of accommodation ranging from a small inexpensive chalet to five-star luxury hotels. Lamai beach is probably Koh Samui’s second most popular beach area, offering equal charm to Chaweng but less crowded. Other beaches include Bo Phut and Mae Nam beach in the north of Koh Samui where many upscale local residents and expats choose to live and are home to Koh Samui’s one and only golf course, Santiburi Golf Course.
